The Hoodis Bunch

December 2008

I always said that I wanted at least four kids and I think I still do even after chasing four of them around the park with a camera in the cold winter! Call me crazy but I just love kids! I used to work for Robert Hoodis in between my years of teaching. I started getting into photography when I worked for him and after a couple of years I was lucky enough to do a Christmas shoot for his sweet family. He and his wife Melissa have always looked out for me and it has been nice to continue our friendship even after our careers have taken different paths. We had a great time shooting in the park and even their lab, Bella, snuck in front of the camera a time or two. The craziest part of the shoot was to see how much these kiddos have grown since I first met them 4 years ago! Makes me think about how much my two and half year old is growing every day!

The Hurckmans

December 2008

I met this beautiful couple through one of my bestest friends Kim Sasser who played in the worship band at The Oaks Fellowship before moving to Scotland almost 2 years ago to get her Ph.D. The gentleman in these pics is Paul. He is the young adult pastor at The Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak and he and his lovely wife Candace have been two of the most genuine and caring people I think I have ever met in my life. I know it's easy to say that about people but I think they are the "real deal." They have two precious babies, ages 3 and 4 months. This was their Christmas shoot from back in December. There is not enough I can say about this family. Their friendship is definitely a blessing!

Grayson West

December 2008

It is nearly March and here I am STILL trying to catch up on my blog. These is from a shoot during the Christmas season. I took pictures of Grayson when he was born in September also so you probably recognize him if you have frequented my blog in the past. He is such a gorgeous baby boy! I feel like I tell my friend Kelly that every time I see Grayson. I told her that he and Siena would be perfect for eachother in about 18 years! We will see how that goes! Hopefully, he doesn't have a problem with older women. I mean...it's only about 2 1/5 years differnce. : )
