The DaVerse Kids are some young cool friends of ours that Will met four years ago through our good friend Darius. Darius is a teacher in DISD and he and Will work extensively throughout the metroplex with teens and the arts, specifically creative writing and spoken word poetry. The kids in the photos are Niecee, Daphne, Anthony and Tommy. They are all talented individuals who love writing poetry and sharing their work. I call them the DaVerse Lounge Kids because they have become the familiar faces of an event called DaVerse Lounge, a free under 21 open-mic hosted by Will at the Dallas Theater Center during the school year.
