An Evening with the Sassers

Many of you have had the opportunity to meet our dear friends, Kim and Chad Sasser. Will met Kim several years ago at a live art show in Deep Ellum. Both were performing spoken word poetry but beyond the microphone a friendship began to grow. Over the years, especially this last, the four of us have really formed a strong bond. Kim and Chad are the type of people that you just don't meet everyday. They are beautiful souls that truly live out their Christian faith yet accept those who are struggling on their journey. This fall, Kim has accepted an opportunity to earn her PhD in Scotland. While Kim is fulfilling her desire to earn her PhD, Chad claims he will be serving coffee at a coffee house and playing his guitar on the streets of Elgin, Scotland. Although it is a three year commitment, they will be back visiting for holidays and summer breaks. Before they left, Will and I took them out for dinner and to spontaneous places around Dallas. The photos pretty much cover the evenings events. We are going to miss them!

Siena's First Steps

August 24th, 2007

Siena's week was full excitement. On Monday, the 20th, she took her first steps. They were a running four to say the least! She charged toward me and fell into a hug of happiness! Over the course of the day she took between two and four steps but the following day she took a whopping twelve! And so she has progressed over the last few days and as I understand we our about to enter a whole new world! Check out this weeks pics to see her in action!

Toni Gibson

Toni is married to our good friend Dewayne Gibson. Naturally, we have grown closer to Toni since the two of them exchanged vows. This September they are expecting their new arrival. Yes, we are happy that Siena will have another friend close to her age and as one would imagine, Toni and Dewayne are thrilled as well. But even more excited is Toni's seven year old son, Tyler. The first time he met Siena he asked if she was his new baby sister! I couldn't help but laugh. Well, it looks as if his wish is coming true! We can't wait to meet the new little Gibson!

Here are several random photos of my daughter, Siena. She turned one this July and is about to be walking. It took some time for her to start but she finally took four steps yesterday. She is an amazing gift.

Tarenthia and Bradley Clemons

Tarenthia is one of my best friends from childhood. She and Bradley had their first baby in May. I took these photos back in April but am just now posting them. Anyways, they had a beautiful and healthy daughter that they named Avery. She is a doll. Hopefully I will take some photos of her soon.

Sarah Friedl

These are our good friends, Julia and Christopher and their new bundle of joy, Sarah. They came over this past Saturday so that I could capture some early photos of Sarah who is 4 weeks old in these photos. She was a natural and cooperated so well in between feedings. Dad on the other hand gave me 10 minutes to shoot so I was hoping I got some good shots. I guess men have better things to do than pose for the camera. Overall, the shoot went well and I got some pretty nice photos of the three of them.
