Joe and Karla Neeley
March 2008
I have fallen so behind on my blog since I started my new teaching job in January. While I have found the time to continue shooting here and there, my blog had to be pushed to the back seat. I also had some problems with my external hard drive earlier this year which resulted in me not being able to share the pictures from my other Christmas shoots. So, it is now a few days before May and I have finally returned.
These are our friends Joe and Karla. They had their new daughter on April 1st. We were able to squeeze in a maternity shoot a few weeks before Gabriella arrived. As you can tell, Karla was glowing as was Joe!

Judy and Doyle Rogers Grandkids

My friend Judy Rogers asked me to take Christmas photos of her grandkids this year. I had a great time meeting the four of them and chasing the two boys around the house with my camera. They were all really sweet and amazingly photogenic. In fact, her grandson Evan had the most beautiful blue eyes I've seen in a long time, as you will see! I was so thankful that she was willing to support my photography efforts and for the encouragement she has given me since she and I met three years ago. It was so nice to have such a beautiful family to start off my Christmas photo shoots for 2007!

Kelly West

Kelly is one of my first and best friends from childhood. We grew up living several houses away from one another and attended elementary, junior high and high school together. We also played on the same soccer, basketball and softball teams as kids and spent many Friday and Saturday nights at the skating rink and toilet papering houses at sleepovers. The two of us have remained good friends all these years and our relationship continues to expand...now she is mine and Will's dentist! As you can see, Kelly is a new bride and actually married one of our high school classmates, Joel West, eleven years post graduation. They actually hit it off at the ten year high school class reunion and are now walking down the aisle in December. I thought this kind of thing only happened in movies but then again, it's Kelly and she never ceases to amaze me. I love this girl!

Ladybug Siena

My little Siena dressed as a ladybug this year, which seems to be a popular costume for baby girls, but I fell in love with this particular ladybug costume! My friend, Tarenthia, whose baby is in the posting below told me where she bought the peacock costume for Avery. I went to the site and of course the one I wanted for Siena was sold out. They referred me to Ebay and luckily, I was able to fight for it. As you can see I was determined! I thought Siena looked adorable every time I put it on her and I even think she thought she looked adorable because she wanted to wear it each time she saw it in hanging in her closet. Of course I am biased but I thought she was the cutest ladybug ever!!!

I am so far behind on editing and posting new pictures because I've been super busy with grad school classes. Thank goodness they are over in 2 weeks. My best friend brough her baby over for Halloween pictures at the end of September and I finally finished editing them all of them today. She had the cutest and most colorful costume I think I have ever seen! We had so much fun taking her pics although she wasn't in the smiling mood for some reason. Maybe because she was dressed like a peacock. Well we did the best we could to get her to laugh and it worked enough to get a few smirks. I think we looked funnier than she did trying to get her to laugh though! Enjoy!

Gaby's 4th Birthday at The Fort Worth Zoo

I spent Saturday afternoon at the Fort Worth Zoo with my family celebrating my cousin, Gaby's 4th birthday. It had been over a decade since I visited this place and it was Siena's first time. I was expecting her to make the the 'woof woof' sound like she normally does when she sees most four legged creatures but I think she realized that these animals were a little different than the typical 'woof woofs' that she sees on a daily basis. Gaby had a wonderful 4th birthday with many of her aunts, uncles and cousins present to share in the joy of her special day!

Gracyn Gibson

Meet Gracyn Gibson! Toni and Dwayne's baby girl arrived September 10th as healthy as can be. We were finally able to make it to their new home this Saturday to meet precious Gracie and to of couse, introduce her to the camera. All I can say is, "What an adorable baby!" Enjoy!
